Custom Pool Construction in Miami
If you've been thinking about building a pool in Miami, you already know it's one of the best investments you can make for your home. With our year-round sunshine and outdoor lifestyle, a custom pool isn't a luxury down here — it's practically a necessity. At Florida Blue Waters, we design and build pools that fit your property, your family, and your budget.
Pool Styles We Build
Every backyard is different, and every family uses their pool differently. That's why we don't do cookie-cutter designs. We build modern geometric pools with clean lines and glass tile, tropical resort-style pools with rock waterfalls and natural stone, classic rectangular pools perfect for lap swimming, and freeform pools that follow the natural curves of your yard. Whether you want a shallow sun shelf for the kids or a deep end for diving, we'll design it around how you actually live.

Our Construction Process
Building a pool in South Florida involves a lot more than digging a hole. Here's how we do it, start to finish:
Design and planning — We start with a site visit and work with you on the layout, shape, features, and materials. Once you approve the design, we handle all the paperwork.
Permits — Miami-Dade County requires building permits for any pool construction. We pull all necessary permits and coordinate inspections so you don't have to worry about it.
Excavation — Our crew digs out the pool shape according to the engineered plans.
Steel and rebar — We install the reinforcing steel framework that gives the pool its structural strength.
Plumbing and electrical — All circulation lines, drains, returns, lighting conduit, and equipment pads are installed.
Gunite or shotcrete — The concrete shell is applied over the steel frame. This is what makes the pool permanent.
Tile and coping — Waterline tile, coping stone, and any accent tile get installed.
Deck and hardscape — We pour or install the pool deck using pavers, travertine, or stamped concrete.
Interior finish — Plaster, pebble, or quartz finish is applied to the pool interior.
Fill and startup — The pool is filled, equipment is started, and water chemistry is balanced.

Building Pools in Miami: What You Need to Know
Miami has some specific challenges when it comes to pool construction. The high water table means we often need dewatering during excavation, especially in low-lying areas near the coast. Hurricane building codes in Miami-Dade are among the strictest in the country, and every pool we build meets or exceeds those standards. The limestone and coral rock soil common across South Florida requires specialized excavation equipment. And the permit process through Miami-Dade County has its own timeline and requirements that we know inside and out.
We've built pools across Kendall, Homestead, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, and throughout Miami-Dade County. We know the soil, we know the codes, and we know how to get the job done right.
